Under 23s: Newcastle Utd 0-0 West Ham Utd

Ten man-West Ham escaped with a point from St James' Park - after having to play two thirds of the game with only ten men.

The Hammers left Peter Beardsley's Newcastle with a creditable point from their latest PL2 fixture despite losing a man before half time - a result that leaves them in fifth place in Division 2 and a point adrift of last night's hosts, in fourth spot.

Arthur Masuaku was the guilty partly after being issued a straight red card following an off-the-ball incident shortly after the half-hour mark. However the Hammers - including the likes of Ashley Fletcher and Edmilson Fernandes - hung on to take a point back down the A1.
