BREAKING NEWS - Harry Redknapp has left his post as manager of West Ham United by mutual consent.

Harry Redknapp has resigned as manager of West Ham United after seven years in charge of the first team.

Redknapp is believed to have met the board this morning and told them that he has simply 'had enough', following the clubs poor form this season.

"I've had a chat with the chairman and just feel it's been a tough season," he said. "The last eight weeks or so of the season haven't been particularly enjoyable and I feel that, maybe, it's time for a change.

"I would like to thank the chairman and the board for all the support
they've given me since I've been at the club."

Alan Curbishley has been installed as immediate favourite to take over the role.

* BREAKING NEWS - It has just been announced that Frank Lampard Snr has also left the club by mutual consent.
