Hull City 2-1 West Ham Utd

West Ham's worrying descent towards the Premier League relegation zone shows no signs of slowing after Slaven Bilic's side fell to a 2-1 defeat at Hull this afternoon.

With just eight games of the season remaining, today's defeat leaves the Hammers just six point clear of the drop zone after a dreadful second half performance saw City come from behind to snatch three vital points in their own battle to avoid the drop.

Yet it had all started so well for West Ham, who took the lead after 18 minutes through Andy Carroll. In front of watching England manager Gareth Southgate, the in-form striker grabbed his 50th Premier League goal after converting an Aaron Cresswell centre.

Hull began the second half by replacing captain Curtis Davis (who had been culpable for the first goal) and sending on Kamil Grosicki. And reverting to a flat back four paid almost instant dividends for today's hosts who were level within seven minutes of the restart.

Sub Grosicki played a major role in the goal, which was eventually scored by full back Andrew Robertson, whose 50-yard run wasn't spotted by a single Hammer. Having received the ball from Lazar Markovic, the Polish international laid it into the path of an advancing Robertson who fired home to secure his first ever Premier League goal.

Yet there was worse to come for the Hammers, who had struggled to make inroads in the final third despite having plenty of ball in the second half. With just five minutes remaining, Andrea Ranocchia was first to meet a Grosicki corner which he turned into the net unopposed.

We'll have a full match report for you soon...
