West Ham Utd 1-0 Tottenham

West Ham have all but guaranteed Premier League status for next season after beating Tottenham at the Olympic Stadium tonight.

Spurs went into the game on the back of nine straight successive victories but their chances of beating Chelsea to the title all but evaporated tonight as Manuel Lanzini's second half strike secured a vital win for West Ham.

West Ham - for whom tonight's clean sheet was the third in successive matches - won the game courtesy of the diminutive Argentinian's strike, 20 minutes into the second half.

Aaron Cresswell's centre eventually fell to Andre Ayew, who failed to get the ball under control - only to see it fall to Lanzini who smashed it into the back of the net from inside the six-yard box.

The win was enough to take West Ham to 42 points and back into the top half of the Premier League. Read David Fletcher's match report - with player ratings - here.
