A long-since-seen recording of the Boleyn Ground in the mid 1970s has surfaced on YouTube.
Published by former ITV station Thames TV, the two-minute video - taken from a series entitled 'This Sporting Land' - offers a glimpse of the old East End as thousands of Hammers fans make their bi-weekly pilgrimage to the Boleyn Ground. Most notably, some 40 years later are the sheer numbers of youths attending the game - and the distinct lack of women and families present at the match. As for the cost of entrance? Just 70p for adults and 30p for kids!
