West Ham are understood to have ended their interest in Olivier Giroud - after the Arsenal striker admitted he was not interested in a move.

Giroud, who is currently part of the touring party visiting Australia spoke out after being asked where he was likely to end up next season.

"I am Arsenal player and for the moment I am here," he replied. "I just want to prepare well for the season and we will see later.

"Iím still an Arsenal player at the moment so I try to be professional. No matter what happens, I do my job on the pitch. Iíve been here for five years - next year could be my sixth one.

"I wonít forget it, no matter what happens. We will see about my future but I am still an Arsenal player for the moment."

* West Ham will pay just half of Joe Hart's wages when he completes a season-long loam move from Manchester City.

The England international earns in the region of £5million per year, half of which his parent club will pay during his spell at the Olympic Stadium. The deal is expected to be concluded imminently.

* Jonathan Calleri, who spent last season on loan at West Ham has signed for Spanish club Las Palmas.

The 23-year-old misfit scored just once in 17 appearances for the Hammers but has put pen to paper on a permanent deal with the Canary Islanders, who completed a double swoop by also capturing Hernan Toledo from Deportivo Maldonado.

* West Ham have been linked with a move for West Bromwich Albion forward Salomon Rondon.

The Venezuelan was the subject of a £32million bid from Chinese Super League team Tianjin Quanjian earlier in the window, an offer that Albion rejected. Rondon scored eight times for the Baggies last season, to whom he is contracted until 2019.
