Slaven Bilic says he is ready to do business in the final week of the transfer window.

The Hammers boss has already brought in the likes of Joe Hart, Pablo Zabaleta and Javier Hernandez during the summer, but remains open to conducting further business ahead of next week's transfer deadline.

"We're going to see what happens in the last week of the transfer window," he said. "If somebody leaves or goes out, then somebody else might come in.

"Like most other clubs we are ready to do something both ways in case something comes up."

And when asked whether he expected William Carvalho to complete his record-breaking move from Portugal he simply replied "maybe!"

See what else Bilic had to say in the following extract from this morning's pre-match press conference.

* In other transfer news, former Hammer Matt Taylor has completed a move to Swindon on a free transfer. Now 35, he was released by Northampton at the end of last season but has found himself a new home with the League Two club.

"I know the manager and I’m excited by the project of trying to get the team promoted out of this league and back into League One," he told Swindon's website.

"I live locally so I know that the football club is well supported and it is another challenge for me that I’m really looking forward to and really excited about."
