Palace launch £10million Sakho bid

Diafra Sakho could be on his way to Crystal Palace - just a matter of hours after trying to engineer a move back to France.

The errant Senegal international was strongly linked with Ligue 1 outfit Rennes, who were reported by some sources to have agreed a £9million deal with West Ham within the last 24 hours.

However that has since been denied by representatives of the club, who have scotched reports suggesting talks had indeed taken place with Les Rouges et Noirs - even though Sakho was spotted arriving in Rennes yesterday (see above).

Instead it appears that Sakho could be staying put in London after all - as it has been revealed that Crystal Palace have launched a £10million bid.

Sakho was close to leaving West Ham a year ago this month, when West Bromwich Albion had a £16million offer accepted. However the move was aborted after the 27-year-old failed a medical.
