Action Group hit the road

The inaugural meeting of the Real West Ham Fans Action Group was staged last night.

Less than a fortnight after their formation, the group's steering committee staged their first public meeting in front of a packed house at the Boleyn pub, just a few hundred yards from the site of the club's recently-demolished Boleyn Ground.

Chaired by group founder Andy Swallow, the meeting was staged in order to determine the group's plan of attack as they attempt to hold West Ham's Board of Directors to account for the many problems that have surfaced since the club moved to Stratford.

During the two-hour meeting, which was partially broadcast on social media, the group - who can be found on Facebook - outlined a number of demands which they say they will be pressing the club to incorporate with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, shortly before the RWHFAG meeting began last night, West Ham released a brief list of changes on their website that they either have, or intend to incorporate as a result of the recent meetings with various fan representatives. These include:

* The TV screens that were originally turned off at the behest of the SAB are to be used once again - for two hours prior to kick off, during half time and after the final whistle.

* A(nother) commitment to keep the Boleyn Ground memorial garden clean and tidy

* Sponsorship of the Supporters Club for the next six months

* A promise to take the full allocation for away games (on a trial basis)

* A commitment to ensure the Boleyn's heritage and tradition is recognised at the Olympic Stadium
