Landslide victory for Adrian

A KUMB Forum poll asking which of West Ham's two current first team goalkeepers should start against Chelsea on Saturday has resulted in an overwhelming victory for Adrian.

The Spanish stopper was recalled on Sunday for West Ham's 2-1 defeat at Manchester City and performed superbly, despite United losing the game as a result of David Silva's 84th-minute winner.

Yet despite that defeat, an incredible 97 per cent of voters - one of the most one-sided results ever witnessed in a KUMB Poll - backed the 30-year-old to retain his first team spot ahead of the on-loan Joe Hart.

"Unlike some, I don't think there's a massive difference between the two," wrote KUMB member. Danny's Dyer Acting. "However if I was in Moyes' shoes then playing Adrian would be a no brainer - unless I was contractually obliged to pick Hart."

Whilst Clacton-ammer added: "I think Hart is a very good goalkeeper, and I genuinely love his attitude and professionalism, plus, he speaks his mind. Saying all that, Adrian is also a very good goalkeeper, plus, I felt we looked better with him between the sticks and him barking at everyone - it just 'felt' more solid."

Prior to last weekend's trip to the Etihad, Adrian had started in just three first team matches since Hart was signed on a season-long loan back in the summer - the Carabao Cup games against Cheltenham, Bolton and Tottenham.
