Post-match inteview: Mauricio Pochettino v West Ham Utd [audio]

Filed: Thursday, 4th January 2018
By: Staff Writer

Mauricio Pochettino claimed that his side did enough to win "four or five-one" against West Ham at Wembley tonight - and deserved to take all three points.

Although Tottenham enjoyed the better chances, in addition to a substantial possession advantage, they had to rely on an equaliser six minutes from the end of normal time in order to take just the one and prevent a second successive home defeat against the Hammers this season.

Pedro Obiang's thunderbolt gave West Ham the lead with 70 minutes on the clock, before Song Heung-min levelled for Spurs with the end in sight for David Moyes and his team.

"We needed to be more effective in front of goal and paid for it in the end, "said a disappointed Pochettino, who also admitted that Pedro Obiang's opener was "an amazing goal".
