Shrews 'keeper reflects on 'easy game'

Shrewsbury Town goalkeeper Dean Henderson says that he enjoyed one of his quietest days of the current campaign when West Ham visited New Meadow yesterday.

The on-loan goalkeeper was forced to make just two saves against the Hammers, much to his surprise. I got a good rest last night expecting to have sore hands today," he told the club's website.

"But to be honest with you, it was probably one of the easiest games Ive played in all season.

Its obviously going to be hard for them coming here because its our Cup final on a poor pitch, which we are probably more used to playing on. So it evens itself out at the end of the day and this is why the FA Cup is so good.

We had some good opportunities. We put them on the back foot, asked questions of them and we were unfortunate in the end not put our chances away. "

And with regards to the Shrews' chances in next week's replay, the 20-year-old admitted that it would be a tough task - but maintained that his current side, second in League One possessed the ability to secure an unlikely win.

"Its going to be a big test going there on a nice pitch when they are knocking the ball around, but we will look forward to that," added Henderson.

We are going to be on the back foot now and again, but hopefully we can ride the storm, catch them on the break and see what happens.

"Anything is possible when it is 11 versus 11, so we will go there and have a right go at them.
