A Millwall supporter is running the Brentwood half marathon next month in a West Ham kit - after reaching his fundraising target for Isla Caton via justgiving.

The family of little Isla, who is battling Neuroblastoma, a rare type of cancer, are attempting to raise £400,000 in order to send the three-year-old to the US for medical treatment which is currently unavailable in the UK.

The West Ham family have joined together to raise funds and awareness for Isla's cause in recent months, with a hosts of events and activities taking place in order to boost the fund.

However it's not only West Ham fans who have been digging deep in order to help Isla and her family. Earlier today loyal Millwall fan Tony Munday, who has also been fundraising for Isla reached his own personal target of £2,000 thanks to donations from around 100 supporters.

"Anyone who knows me will know that I’m a Millwall supporter to the core and that West Ham are the team I love to hate," wrote Munday on his justgiving page. "But when it comes to children and cancer, rivalries and colours become insignificant and we all pull together as one.

"I’m running the Brentwood Half marathon on March 18th to help raise money towards this brave little girl's target that she needs to reach. I put the target at £500 and promised to run wearing a West Ham shirt once it reached £1,000!"

Tony's story susbsequently inspired fellow 'Wall supporter and fundraiser Jay Pearce to make a similar pledge. Pearce, who is running the Vitality Big Half in South London on 4 March has also promised to don a claret and blue shirt should he meet his £500 target.

"If I can raise £500 I’ll Wear a West Ham shirt in the big half - and if I can raise £1,000, I’ll wear it in Brighton too!" he said. "Any more and I’ll wear it in the Viccy Park, all of which I planned to run in my Millwall shirt!"
