West Ham have been fined 30,000 after accepting a charge of failing to ensure that club details had been kept up to date.

The club were charged by the FA last month after allegedly contravening 'anti-doping' rules and given until 27 February to reply. A statement by West Ham insisted that the error has been an "administrative oversight" on their part.

The clause West Ham are understood to have breached states that member clubs must ensure that certain information must be kept up to date - including player's personal details, such as their home addresses and telephone numbers.

"The club accepts the charge and we will endeavour to tighten our procedures to avoid this happening again," a club spokesperson said last night.

"We would like to reiterate that the breach was a club administrative matter and did not concern any of our players."
