Antonio out for the season

Filed: Monday, 2nd April 2018

Michail Antonio is almost certainly out for the remainder of the season after pulling up just six minutes into Saturday's Premier League clash with Southampton.

Antonio, who has only recently returned to first team action following a lengthy spell on the sidelines left the field with his head in his hands after receiving six minutes of treatment on the pitch during the match.

And it has since been confirmed that he sustained a pulled hamstring - and one that will almost certainly keep his out of action until the summer.

The 28-year-old winger has featured 21 times for West Ham this season but had only completed 90 minutes twice since returning his latest injury on 3 February, whilst generally looking less than 100 per cent fit.
