Safety still a win away

West Ham's chances of being relegated from the Premier League have risen in the last month - but are still considered negligible.

David Moyes' squad may have found it impossible to buy a win in recent weeks but statistically speaking are still only the sixth-most likely team to go down later this month, with a 4% chance of relegation (up from 2% at the beginning of April).

And that still compares favourable to West Brom (100%), Stoke City (92%), Southampton (55%), Huddersfield (36%) and Swansea City (14%), according to the latest analysis from the folks behind the Euro Club Index.

Key to preserving West Ham's Premier League status are the games remaining between the teams locked in battle at the foot of the table, although United will almost certainly require at least one more win from their three remaining games to ensure survival.

Remaining Matches

West Bromwich Albion (28 pts): Tottenham (h); Crystal Palace (a).

Stoke City (30 pts): Crystal Palace (h); Swansea City (a).

Southampton (32 pts): Everton (a); Swansea City (a); Manchester City (h).

Swansea City (33 pts): Bournemouth (a); Southampton (h); Stoke City (h).

Huddersfield Town (35 pts): Manchester City (a); Chelsea (a); Arsenal (h).

West Ham Utd (35 pts): Leicester CIty (a); Manchester Utd (h); Everton (h).
