West Ham United have announced a partnership with Taiwanese airline EVA Air.

The first deal of its kind to involve West Ham United will see the club team up with the little-known airline in order to "develop fan engagement activations".

West Ham vice chairman Karren Brady told whufc.com that she was "very excited" about the partnership and the benefits it could bring to the club. "I am delighted to welcome EVA Air to the West Ham United family," she said.

"As the excitement of Premier League football continues to grow rapidly throughout Asia, we are extremely proud to team up with an airline that has established a magnificent reputation for its links between London and the Far East.

"I am very excited about the benefits that the partnership can bring as we continue to grow and develop our corporate identity on a global scale."

Meanwhile company President Clay Sun confirmed that he was delighted to be entering into a partnership with a Premier League club. "EVA Air is a proud supporter of sports and we are delighted to be partnering with West Ham United," he added.

"For years we have actively supported and sponsored sports such as golf, tennis, badminton and baseball and this cooperation with the Premier League football club further extends this across our route network. "

West Ham's list of official partners now extends to more than a dozen companies, including smaller concerns such as MRF Tyres, Royal London Watches, Hantec Markets and Spire Hospitals plus well-known coorporations like Heineken, Lycamobile and Ricoh.

However the Hammers still have some way to go in order to catch up with fellow Premier League club Huddersfield, who boast almost ONE HUNDRED 'official partners'.
