West Ham launch double Swansea swoop

West Ham are on the verge of signing Polish international Lukasz Fabianski from Swansea as part of a double swoop on the relegated Welsh club.

The Hammers have seen a double bid for Fabianski and fellow City star Alfie Mawson rejected by the Swans, according to reports from local media this morning.

However the Hammers are set to return with an improved offer for the former Arsenal man, 33 and central defender Mawson, 24, who has long been a target of West Ham's.

City are believed to be holding our for a figure in excess of 20million for the highly-rated Mawson, who has two years left to run on his existing contract.

Despite Swansea's rejection, the Polish media are this morning claiming that a deal for Fabianski is close to completion.

The Welsh club are believed to be holding our for considerably more than the 5million fee quoted by some sources, despite the player having just one year of his current deal left to run.
