I was offered a season ticket - but didn't even apply!

A KUMB member has been offered the option to purchase a season ticket for the 2018/19 season - despite not knowingly having been a member of the club's waiting list.

Much has been made of the club's inability to inform supporters exactly where they stand on the season ticket waiting list, which vice chair Karren Brady recently claimed numbered an impressive 48,000.

Yet further doubt was cast over the legitimacy of the process today when one KUMB member, who has never asked to join the waiting list, was contacted with view to purchasing season tciket for the forthcoming campaign.

"I received an email on Saturday saying I can apply for a season ticket tomorrow as I've reached the top of the queue," said Hammers fan Boleyn Bound, speaking via the KUMB Forum. "But I wasn't aware I was on the list!

"I was a claret member during the first season [at the new stadium] but didn't bother for the season just gone - but am evidently still on the list."

Meanwhile others who DID purchase the option to join the list - the cost of which was recently raised from £10 to £12 - continue to be frustrated as others who signed up more recently - or not at all! - are offered seats before them.

"Iíve been on the waiting list since May 2016," wrote fellow KUMB member NetSixandChill. "I phoned up last week to ask what my position was and was told that Iím currently in the 29,000s. Really worth the £10!"

Despite the uncertainly, a number of supporters who have waiting patiently for some considerable time have been rewarded this week.

"I've been on the waiting list since we left Upton Park and wasn't able to take up the offer last season," wrote new member Johnnygreeneyes. "This week I received another email saying I had a slot at 3.30pm to buy a ticket.

"I phoned at just before 3.30pm, was number 3 in the queue, and completed my purchase at 3.34pm. I got exactly the seat I wanted and I can't wait. I've been a Hammer for 50 years and this is my first season ticket. Very excited!"
