Hammers launch bid for rising star

West Ham have made an offer for Toulouse central defender Issa Diop, according to French sources.

GFFN are reporting this afternoon (Wednesday) that the Hammers have made on offer of between €15million-€20million for the highly-rated 21-year-old, who has been capped 38 times for the French under 21s.

Diop, who is also said to be interesting Everton, Fulham and Red Bull Leipzig has spent his entire career with Le Téfécé, and has represented his country at all levels from Under 16 to Under 21.

The 6'4" defender, who is of Senegalese descent made his first team debut for Toulouse in November 2015, scoring his first goal for the club a fortnight later. Since then he had gone on to become a regular first team member, making 37 appearances last season.
