Arnie rumours wide of the mark

Reports that Marko Arnautovic has been offered to Inter by his brother appear to be wide of the mark.

The Austrian international is currently represented by his brother Danijel, who met with representatives of the Serie A side including Sporting Director Piero Ausillo on Wednesday afternoon to discuss potential transfers.

Naturally this information led to speculation that agent Arnautovic was proposing his sibling return to Italy with Inter, for whom he played on loan during the 2009/10 season under Jose Mourinho.

However KUMB understands that the player under discussion was not the West Ham star but Stoke City defender Moritz Bauer, who is also represented by the agent.

Likewise suggestions that a swap deal involving Joao Mario, who spent the latter half of last season on loan at West Ham, are also thought to have little foundation at this stage.
