West Ham charged over Burnley incident

Filed: Wednesday, 27th June 2018
By: Staff Writer

West Ham United have been charged by The FA with failing to control their supporters after angry fans ran on to the field of play during last season's home clash with Burnley.

Although a potential march of thousands, planned for the same day, was cancelled, Hammers fans still made their feelings known during the 3-0 home defeat against the Clarets by spilling onto the pitch and surrounding the directors' box.

And some three months after the incident took place, the Football Association have finally acted by charging West Ham with failing to assure the safety of those on the field of play.
