West Ham are being linked with a move for Mexican World Cup star Hector Herrera.

Herrera, 28, had been one of the early stars of this year's Finals currently being staged in Russia. And according to reports from Portugal (Correio da Manha), West Ham are one of three Premier League clubs currently vying for his signature.

Manchester United and Everton have also been taking a close look at the 13million-rated Porto star, whilst on the continental mainland Real Madrid and Roma are also known to have made enquiries into Herrera's situation.

* West Ham look set to miss out on the opportuntiy to sign Bernard Duarte on a free transfer this summer.

West Ham had identified the Brazilian winger, 25, who can also operate in a central role as a possible replacement for the stricken Manuel Lanzini.

However Bernard - whose five-year contract with Shakhtar Donetsk ends later this week - is set to snub West Ham's overtures in favour of a lucrative move to the Chinese Super League instead.

* West Ham target Stefano Sturaro has rejected interest from China, after it was revealed that Juventus would be happy to sell the midfielder this summer (TMW).

That's because Sturaro, who is understood to have been the subject of a recent (rejected) bid from West Ham would prefer a move to the Premier League where the Hammers face competition from Newcastle, who have also expressed interest.

* Portuguese international William Carvalho has been courted by West Ham for some considerable time, but there has been more interest from the Premier League in the 26-year-old.

According to The Sun, Manchester United have made contact with Carvalho, who recently resigned from Sporting Lisbon following a training ground fracas involving a group of supporters.

* West Ham are one of several Premier League clubs to have expressed an interest in signing Benfica's Swiss international striker Haris Seferovic (O Jogo).

The goalscorer is valued around the 10million mark by the Portuguese club, who signed him on a five-year contract from Eintracht Frankfurk in the summer of 2017.

* West Ham are the latest in a long line of clubs to run the rule over Inter's on-loan forward Yann Karamoah.

Still only 19, the French under 21 international joined the Milan-based club on a two year loan last summer with an option to make the deal permanent.

And whilst the Serie A side are keen to invoke that particular clause next summer, West Ham have joined clubs such as Barcalona and Chelsea in registering their interest in Karamoah, should the situation change.

* Free agent Jack Wilshere is set for talks with Fenerbahce, according to various Turkish media sources.

The 26-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move to West Ham since confirming he was set to leave Arsenal but the Hammers have constantly denied any major interest.
