Enzo Maresca (First Team Coach): Formerly assistant manager at Seville, Maresca's only previous experience of working in England came 20 years ago during a spell as a player at West Bromwich Albion. The Italian national, who effectively replaced Stuart Pearce first worked with Pellegrini at Malaga twoards the end of his playing career in 2012.

Xavi Valero (Goalkeeping Coach): A former goalkeeper with vast experience, Valero's playing career spanned 22 seasons in which he played for club's as diverse as Real Madrid and Wrexham. Has worked extensively with Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez. Valereo replaces former England goalkeeper Chris Woods.

Jose Cabello (Fitness Coach): Cabello was until recently working alongside Pellegrini at Hebei China Fortune, in the Chinese Super League. He first worked with Pellegrini at Malaga, some eight years previously. He replaces the outgoing Nick Davies, who left the club last month.

Felix Cao (Assistant Fitness Coach): Another to follow Pellegrini from Hebei China Fortune, Cao is a Portuguese national who also initially teamed up with the Chilean at Malaga.

Welcoming his new team to the club, Pellegrini said: "My backroom staff are hugely important to me, as they have been throughout my managerial career.

"As a group, and as individuals, they bring with them a lot of experience and know-how as well as a great understanding of how we want to do things. These are all important factors in putting a successful team on the pitch, which is what we are all striving for.

"Iím delighted we are going to be working together again as we enter an exciting time at West Ham.

"I have known Ruben for 20 years so we know each other and work together very well, which is very important when you are working in an environment like football. Enzo played for me at Malaga and I was immediately impressed with the way he looked at the game in great detail.

"Xavi is one of the best goalkeeper coaches in the world and Jose and Felix are talented physical trainers who I have great faith in. I know they will play a pivotal role in helping the team prepare and perform to the best possible level."
