Being a West Ham supporter is difficult enough at the best of times, which is why summer is usually such a welcome and relaxing time for those of a claret and blue persuasion.

However England's encouraging run in the current World Cup Finals means that there's little respite this year for domestic Hammers fans, who watched the Three Lions survive a penalty shootout for the very first time against Colombia last night.
