The agent of Croatia World Cup star Domagoj Vida is flying to England this week ahead of talks with several Premier League clubs.

The notable performance of Vida during the competition has led to a number of clubs vying for his services, just a week after the defender and his national side were beaten 4-2 by France in the World Cup Final.

And according to Milliyet, Besiktas President Fikret Orman has reluctantly agreed to allow Vida to depart following the renewed interest.

The two clubs reported to be meeting Vida's agent initially are Liverpool and West Ham, both of whom were rumoured by Turkish media to have tabled opening offers for the player.

* West Ham are one of two Premier League clubs reported to have expressed an interest in Paraguay international Miguel Almiron.

The 24-year-old central defender, who currently plies his trade in the MLS with Atlanta Utd is also being watched by Newcastle Utd; both clubs are understood to have held preliminary talks with Almiron's agent who recently arrived in the UK.

* West Ham, Fenerbahce and Newcastle (again!) are all being linked with a move for Mexican international Diego Reyes.

Capped 53 times for Mexico, defender Reyes is a free agent after his contract with Porto - whom he joined from Club America in 2013 for €7m - came to an end. The Turks are reported to have already offered a contract.

* Jimmy Walker, who played in goal for the Hammers from 2004 and 2009 has been appointed as the new goalkeeper coach at League One club Sunderland.

Walker, who featured for West Ham in the 2004/05 play off final at Cardiff has left Lincoln City in order to take the new role. He replaces the Black Cats' previous 'keeper coach Adrian Tucker, who left upon the apointment of new manager Jack Ross.
