Portuguese sources are claiming that West Ham United have concluded a deal to sign striker Alexandre Silva.

The 21-year-old striker, who currently plays for Vitoria de Guimaraes is reported by local sources (A Bola) to have left the club's training camp on Tuesday in order to enter contract negotiations with West Ham, after an agreement was reached between the two clubs.

The deal is said to be worth just 1.5million up front with a further 2million to follow dependant upon certain conditions being met. West Ham are also understood to have agreed a 10 per cent sell-on clause, granting Vitoria a share of the profit from any future sale.

Silva - who is also known as 'Xande' - has represented Portugal at all levels from Under 17 to Under 20 and made his full debut back in May 2015 in a goalless draw against Benfica, since when he has featured on 26 occasions for Vitoria.

The striker - the son of former Porto and Angola star Quinzinho - is initially expected to join Terry Westley's Under 23 squad upon arriving in England.
