Hugill set for 'Boro medical

Jordan Hugill is set to undergo a medical ahead of a season-long loan move to Championship side Middlesbrough.

Hugill, who cost West Ham 8million in January but is yet to start a single competitive fixture for the club is set to join Tony Pulis' side for the duration of the 2018/19 season, which kicks off in the Premier League this weekend.

The former Preston striker, 26, is reported to have arrived on Teeside ahead of his medical. Hugill, who hails from the north east, is a former 'Boro season ticket holder.

* In other transfer news, Edimilson Fernandes is reported to be close to joining Serie A side Fiorentina ahead of tomorrow's English transfer deadline.

The Swiss international is set to spent the season on loan at the Stadio Artemio Franchi with an option to make the deal permanent for 8million (according to Gianluca Di Marzio).
