Back-up striker Jordan Hugill has completed a season-long loan move to Championship side Middlesbrough.

Then-Hammers boss David Moyes, who was himself formerly employed by Preston paid North End 8million to sign the striker in January, since when Hugill has managed just 22 minutes of competitive action in a West Ham shirt.

On Wednesday he underwent a medical on Teeside which was completed with no problem - allowing the 26-year-old to complete a loan move to 'Boro.

Following the medical, Hugill visited the Championship club's Rockliffe training ground to meet his new team mates, including former Hammers Darren Randolph, Ashley Fletcher and Stewart Downing.

Hugill will wear the number 11 shirt during his stay in the north east.
