Javier Hernandez believes that new manager Manuel Pellegrini is the right man to take West Ham forward.
The Mexican international often cut a sad, lonely and frustrated figure on the bench last season as both Slaven Bilic and David Moyes found it impossible to design a team that included his talents.

However Hernandez, who signed for West Ham little more than a year ago believes that he will flourish under the new manager's system.
"Manuel Pellegrini is a great manager," he said. "He went to Spain, then he came here to the Premier League and he did really well.
"I’m not saying anything new there, he’s a great manager and we’re very happy that he chose to come here.
"H wants to play a more controlled, offensive style of play so it’s perfect for a striker. Chances are going to come and we are improving to defend better too, to press and recover the ball in a high zone."

Hernandez, who started just 16 of West Ham's 38 Premier League outings last season finds himself battling for a place in Pellegrini's first starting XI at Anfield this weekend with Marko Arnautovic and new signing Lucas Perez.
Meanwhile fellow striker Andy Carroll, should he ever play for West Ham again, will add to the mix upon his return from injury later this year.
