Martinez returns to Spain

Toni Martinez has joined Segunda Liga side Rayo Majadahonda on loan for the duration of the 2018/19 season.

The Murcia-born forward, who is way down the pecking order at West Ham will spend the season on loan at the Madrid-based club, who were promoted to the Spanish second tier last season for the first time in their history.

Martinez joined West Ham from Valencia in 2016, since when he has made three brief appearances for the first team whilst also enjoying spells on loan at Oxford and Valladolid.

The striker, who celebrated his 22nd birthday last month signed a three-year contract upon joining West Ham which is set to expire at the end of the current season.
