West Ham couldn't afford me!

LA Galaxy star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has joked that West Ham couldn't afford to sign him.

The 37-year-old striker is currently plying his trade in Los Angeles, where he met up with Hammers fan and presenter of the Late, Late Show, James Corden.

However Corden's attempts to persuade Ibrahomivic to consider a move to east London failed spectacularly - as you can see in this video clip below!

Iím here with my buddy James and he wants me to come to West Ham," says Ibrahimovic in the video, published on his twitter account today.

"But they could not afford me. Letís put up the viewers for the James Corden Show first."

Even though he is just three years shy of his 40th birthday, the former Swedish international continues to fire in the goals at domestic level.

He has scored 22 times in 26 appearances for The Galaxy since moving to the United States in March of this year.
