Consistency is key, says Fab

Lukasz Fabianski believes that West Ham will be just fine this season - once they discover a little consistency.

West Ham's Polish number one, speaking in an interview with The Guardian ahead of the weekend trip to Leicester insisted that swapping Swansea for West Ham was the right move in the summer. However he rejected the suggestion that he had effectively left one relegation battle for another.

"I donít get hyped about having a bad start, or winning against big teams," said Fabianksi. "So I wasnít really panicking when we lost the first four games.

"I think this is an exciting team at West Ham that needs a bit of time to get into the groove. I think we will have a good season because if you look at the team, the manager, almost everything is there. We just need to perform on a more consistent basis."

Fabianki has of course been one of West Ham's most consistent players so far this season, having put in a decent performance every week since shipping four on the opening day of the campaign at Anfield.

And he says he is a far better goalkeeper than the one that left Arsenal four years ago - largely due to the influence of goalkeeping coaches Javier GarcŪa and Tony Roberts, with whom he worked alongside at Swansea.

"I knew I had to leave [Arsenal]," he added. "I needed to go somewhere where I could build myself up again almost from scratch. And Iím happy with the way things went [at Swansea].

"But if I say today I have pride in that, probably life will punish me. There is no comfort zone. You continue to work hard, to be consistent and to deliver performances."
