An individual who entered the field of play during Wednesday night's Carabao Cup tie between West Ham and Spurs has been banned from attending football matches for three years.

The supporter appeared in court on Friday where in addition to the three-year banning order, which applies to all football grounds, he received a considerable fine after pleading guilty to the charges.

West Ham United had already issued lifetime bans to two supporters who entered the field of play during West Ham United's 3-1 defeat - the second of which broke through the security perimeter shortly before the visitors scored their third goal.

"West Ham can confirm that following two incidents of pitch encroachment during our game against Tottenham, two individuals have been arrested and charged by the police, read a statement published on West Ham's website.

"Encroaching the pitch is a criminal offence that will not be tolerated by the club. In keeping with the clubs zero tolerance policy, the two individuals will be banned for life from London Stadium with immediate effect."
