Fabian's got the feeling

Fabian Balbuena says that the West Ham United camp is a happy one following Saturday's 4-2 defeat of Burnley in Stratford.

The Paraguayan international was impressive once more against the Clarets alongside French Under 21 Issa Diop, with whom he is forming a promising partnership at the heat of West Ham's defence.

And the 27-year-old, who could barely speak English prior to landing in London during the summer was also delighted with the impact made by his team mates at the opposite end of the field.

"When we're winning, everyone's happy," Balbuena told whufc.com. "We fully deserved the victory. We created chances - a lot in the last few minutes - and we tried until the end to get the victory. We're happy with that.

"We work hard every day and talk about the games and our training. We try to do our jobs well in every game. Sometimes we lose, but we will always do our best to win every game. We must keep going, keep working and think now about the next game."

The South American defender is proving to be an absolutely steal, having cost West Ham just £4million in the summer since when he has started every Premier League fixture.

And he was delighted that fellow South American Felipe Anderson, who hasn't enjoyed the brightest start to his spell in England, was also exceptional against Burnley. "We know the quality that Felipe has," added Balbuena.

"Itís the same with Marko, Chicharito and all the other guys on the pitch. They all give 100 per cent to help the team to win and I think everybody gave everything to get the three points on Saturday."
