Pre-match press conference: Pep Guardiola vs West Ham Utd

Pep Guardiola has revealed that his Man City team for Saturday's encounter with West Ham will not include Portuguese international Bernardo Silva.

City's Spanish boss - already without the influential Kevin De Bruyne - confirmed that the 24-year-old playmaker is "not ready" to feature against the Hammers having been sent home from international duty in midweek.

And he will also have to do without Benjamin Mendy, who will be sidelined for an estimated three months following knee surgery this week.

Despite going into the game as overwhelming favourites Guardiola said that his team would not be underestimating West Ham, despite the disappointing start to the season experienced by Manuel Pellegrini's team.

"The quality is there," he said. "That can happen with a new manager, but the quality of the players and manager is there."
