Noble, who recently agreed a new contract extension himself was delighted to be joined by his midfield team mate, who recently passed the 50-match mark.

And West Ham's club captain insisted that the sky id the limit for the 19-year-old, who has enjoyed a thoroughly successful season so far. "It's fantastic news for both Declan and for the club," said Noble. "I've spoken to him regularly about his situation and Declan is on a massive high now.

"Heís come into the team, heís playing fantastically well and now he has signed a new long-term contract, which he thoroughly deserves. For him, I think the sky is the limit; heís a top player and every day that I can help him along in his journey is something to be proud of.

"Iíve said to him that Iím always here for him because times arenít always good and arenít always smooth playing in the Premier League at a high level, so Iíve told him to keep learning, keep improving and keep enjoying it."

Speaking about his own future at the club recently, Noble insisted that he fully intends to see out the remainder of his professional career with the Hammers.

"Iíve been at this club all my life," he said. "Iíve always said I wanted to be at this club and I think weíre moving in the right direction, so it was the right time to sign.

"Iím 31 Ė going on 32 - and Iíve been here at West Ham all my life. I hope that the club keeps moving in the right way, and hopefully I can be a part of that."
