West Ham reject 35million Arnautovic bid

Filed: Wednesday, 9th January 2019

West Ham have rejected a bid of 35million from a Chinese club for Marko Arnautovic - and say they have no intention of selling the Austrian during the current transfer window.

The unnamed Chinese club launched an audacious bid to land the popular forward on Wednesday afternoon, although West Ham immediately responded by stating they have no intention of parting company with Arnautovic this month.

The 29-year-old forward joined West Ham 18 months ago from Stoke City for a then club record fee of 20million + add-ons. Since then he has scored 19 goals for United in just 45 starts, making him one of the Premier League's most sought-after strikers.

Manchester United have also been strongly linked with a move for Arnautovic, although their interest is likely to have disappeared following the dismissal of former manager Jose Mourinho before Christmas.
