West Ham conclude deadline day business

The winter transfer window has closed with West Ham having signed two players during January.

On what was a quiet deadline day for the Hammers, the only movement either in or out of the club was 20-year-old Reece Oxford joining German club Augsburg on loan for the remainder of the season.

Coming into the club this month were Samir Nasri, who signed on a free transfer, and former Benfica youngster Mesaque Dju who will begin life at West Ham in the Under 23s.

A late move for Michy Batshuayi fell through due to the striker's wage demands, which were considered excessive by West Ham.

The Belgian international eventually joined United's Premier League rivals Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the current campaign.

Elsewhere former Hammer Havard Nordtveit has secured a deadline day return to the Premier League having completed a loan move to struggling Fulham until the end of the season.
