West Ham in the wages comfort zone

West Ham's wages-to-turnover ratio is on the rise - yet remains comfortably within the accepted zone.

A survey conducted by Price of Football (@KieranMaguire) reveals that West Ham are currently paying 60 in wages for every 100 earned by the club.

And that figure remains comfortably within the 70 per cent threshold usually cited as being the limit of sustainability for football clubs.

Still. the figure has risen slightly over the course of the last four years, up three per cent from 57 per cent in 2015.

This result places West Ham joint 11th in the Premier League wages-to-turnover chart - considerably lower than the likes of Everton and Crystal Palace but a long way behind neighbours Tottenham, who top the chart with an astonishingly-low figure of just 41 per cent.
