Crystal Palace midfielder Luka Milivojevic believes that Roy Hodgson's side were worth at least a point against West Ham on Saturday - despite being lucky to end the match still on the pitch.

The Serbian midfielder, already booked for a late challenge at the end of the first half escaped a second caution despite going through Mark Noble during a second half challenge - one that many commentators felt was worthy of a second yellow card.

However referee Craig Pawson failed to caution Milivojevic meaning that the 27-year-old was allowed to help Palace - 1-0 down at the time of the incident - back into the game and earn a point thanks to Wilfired Zaha's deflected goal.]

"Can you imagine if we didn't get at least a point from this game?" he said. "We are not happy because we think we deserve more, but in football, if you can't win, then don't lose.

"I'm pleased with how we played and how many chances we created although in the end, we scored just one goal. I'm very proud with how we played over 90 minutes, I think the first half as well we played well and created two or three chances.

"In the second half, I don't remember how many chances we created though in the end, we scored. I was sure that, because we were going for the second one and we felt the fans were behind us, that we would go for a second goal.

"But they [West Ham] are an experienced team, they dealt with that in the last ten minutes. We were unlucky not to score two or three goals [in the game] though."
