West Ham United have arrived in Spain as they prepare to undertake some warm weather training.

The first team squad touched down in Marbella on Wednesday morning ahead of a four-day stay in southern Spain, with the club's next fixture - against Fulham in the Premier League - some nine days away.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini has already spoken to dismiss concerns that the squad are in Spain 'on a jolly', insisting instead that the break is a working one.

"We are not going to go on holiday," he said. "We are going to work there, maybe in better weather than here.

"Also, to take them out some days is good for the group, so there are a lot of things that helped me decide to take the team there."

West Ham face Fulham at the Olympic Stadium on Friday, 22 February.
