West Ham United's on-loan defender Reece Oxford was sent off during Augsburg's 5-1 thrashing at Freiburg on Saturday.
The 20-year-old centre half started for the Bundesliga strugglers but was dismissed in the first minute of added-on time following a poor challenge on Freiburg forward Janik Haberer.Embed from Getty Images
Oxford, who returned to Germany at the end of the January transfer window has started the last three games for die Fuggerstädter - all of which have ended in defeat.
Altogether he has featured on five occasions for Augsburg, who remain in deep relegation trouble two places from the foot of the table.
Four of those games have ended in defeat, with Oxford's only taste of victory since leaving England temporarily coming in a 1-0 away win against Bundesliga 2 side Holstein Kiel in the German Cup.
