Manuel Pellegrini says he is looking forward to welcoming Samir Nasri and Felipe Anderson back to his first team squad for Monday's trip to Chelsea.

The Hammers boss, speaking to accredited media at Rush Green on Friday revealed that he expects both to be available when the Hammers make the short trip to Stamford Bridge.

"We have the continuing injuries for Carroll, Sanchez, Yarmolenko, Wilshere and Reid," said Pellegrini when asked to clarify the injury situation. "Those five are not available.

"Felipe Anderson couldn't play the last game, and Nasri too, but they have worked with the squad."

The manager also revealed that he expects a far better performance from his team than that which produced a demoralising 2-0 defeat against Everton in Stratford last weekend.

"Of course I was not happy and I did not want to give excuses afterwards," he added. "When you play so badly in both boxes of course it is a bad game. You must understand that we played with eight players injured; any squad would feel those injuries.

"But it happened and now we must look to Chelsea and think positively. The important thing is that the team tries to play a good game and we will go to Stamford Bridge looking to win the game."

West Ham face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening; kick off in the televised match is scheduled for 8pm.
