Pre-match press conference: Manuel Pellegrini vs Leicester City

Filed: Friday, 19th April 2019

Manuel Pellegrini says that Jack Wilshere could yet feature this weekend against Leicester City.

The midfielder has been out of action since before Christmas but is, according to Pellegrini, "a midfielder that we need" - given the glut of current injuries to other midfielders.

And Pellegrini also believes that his team are overdue a win, having lost back to back Premier League fixtures against Everton (at home) and Manchester United (away).

"I hope we are going to win more points playing the way we did against Manchester United rather than how we beat Huddersfield," he said. "The players must demonstrate that we are going to finish the season in the correct way - especially here at home."
