Post match press conference: Mauricio Pochettino v West Ham Utd

Mauricio Pochettino explained Tottenham's first defeat at their new stadium by claiming that West Ham had more energy that his side in the second half.

The Spurs boss insisted that his team were suffering with both "stress and fatigue" as the result of a long, arduous campaign - but denied suggestions that his team had one eye on Tuesday's Champions League tie With Ajax.

"We are competing with circumstances that are not the best," said Pochettino. "It was really tough today.

"We wanted to win the three points to arrive at the Champions League game in a very good mood and way, but it wasn't to be and now we need to move on."
