Sanchez starts

Carlos Sanchez is set to make his return to first team football tonight - for the Under 23s.

The 33-year-old has been out of action for the last seven months since sustaining medial ligament damage, which has kept him sidelined since last September.

And speaking last week, he revealed that he can't wait to return to action - and kickstart his West Ham career, which was halted so abruptly. "Iím happy to be back," he said.

"Itís really hard, but thatís life in football. A lot of things have happened to me, but now Iím back Iím really happy. Nine years ago I had the same injury, so I have a little experience."

West Ham go into tonight's game knowing they have to win in order to stand a chance of avoiding relegation. Meanwhile Everton have already won the league with a game to spare.
