Colombian forward Duvan Zapata says he is happy in Italy and has no intention of leaving for pastures new.

Zapata, 28, has been strongly linked with a move to West Ham in recent weeks having enjoyed a productive season with Atalanta, where he spent the season on loan from Sampdoria.

However any chances West Ham may have had of landing the sought-after striker appear to have disappeared after he insisted that he was happy in Italy, shortly after helping Atalanta secure a third-place finish in Serie A.

"I dream of raising a trophy in the Nerazzurri," Zapata told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "I want to stay [at Atalanta]; here I am very happy and with my teammates we have achieved a historical goal. So much work, such happiness."

Zapata is currently one season into a two-year loan with Atalanta, who also retain an option to purchase the player upon completion of his loan term.
