Rice named in world's best

Declan Rice has been named as one of Europe's top ten players aged 20 or under.

French daily L'Equipe have published their list of the world's most promising young players - and it's good news for West Ham's English international Rice, who makes the top ten.

Rice, who made his international debut for Gareth Southgate's Three Lions during the 2018/19 campaign enjoyed a hugely successful season at West Ham, having cemented a spot in Manuel Pellegrini's midfield and been named as the club's Young Player of the Year.

Referred to by L'Equipe as being "amongst the best prospects in the Premier League", Rice also won the London Football Awards' Young Player of the Year title back in March.

The 20-year-old Hammer ended the campaign as part of the England squad that finished third in the inaugural Nations League competition, having played almost the entire semi final against the Netherlands.
