FIFA is like a disease within our midst, like a plague from the Middle Ages which is slowly but surely ruining our great sport.
The time has come for the UK government and footballing authorities, in consultation with other countries in Europe and across the globe, to give serious consideration to leaving FIFA and creating a breakaway organisation.We can live without FIFA - and outside of FIFA - if we consult with like-minded partners across the globe who are sick and tired of FIFA's filth. Just like the UK did not and does not need to be part of the European single currency, despite panic merchants claiming the opposite, the UK can live without and outside of FIFA.
FIFA and its executives - including its President - stand accused of serious allegations of bribery and corruption of the highest order. These charges should be properly investigated in a criminal court ,with proper criminal sentences for those accused if found guilty.
There is no place in the 21st century for a so-called 'world governing body' of football to be trying itself in its own kindergarden court. This is no 'internal matter' as the persistently inept Sepp Blatter claims.
Not when World Cup bids are at stake, and not when the foul, contaminated whiff of payoffs and brown bags gets worse every month. FIFA should be held to account, as should its executives.
And if FIFA is unprepared to discipline itself and rid itself of its disease, then there should be only two options.
Either move to strip the organization of all its powers through any and every legal avenue possible, or failing that, to walk away from the organization with likeminded countries and create a new organisation that will be accountable and operate every step of the way with integrity.
As it stands now, FIFA is a complete and utter farce. A fat, unfit organisation full of spoiled children living in a fantasy land.
FIFA executives, who pretend that they are doing the right thing by having their own internal enquiry as opposed to allowing a proper, thorough and unbiased INDEPENDENT enquiry are the ones who are truly unfit to wear the shirt.
The cowardly, dishonest people who decades on still prevent the use of video technology when every other sport has long since incorporated it.
We, the supporters, should not be taking orders from the likes of vermin such as Blatter and his band of cronies. We purchase match tickets and season tickets and keep the game afloat financially, not the bumbling idiots of FIFA.
Crimes against humanity? Maybe not. But crimes against the sport of football on a global basis? That is exactly what FIFA stands accused of and what its overpaid, cheating, lying executives should pay the price for.
With real jail time.
